Moody's balance sheet has been a mess subsequent to the recession even without fines. That was their core franchise - fraudulent or no - that the MBS collapse wiped out, and it seems they've been unable to find a replacement. They're not a serial acquirer, but they've been growing revenue while losing money almost as if they were one. I wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole.
