I always liked the way the British Police, in the old days, handled a group that wished to protest about something.

The protest group could gather together and walk down a street, etc, with their banners and other "protest paraphernalia". Down each side of the protesters was a line of policemen. All protesters had to keep within that police lineup.

The police thereby ensured that the protesters could not get out of line and cause trouble. In the same way, the police ensured that no one could interfere with the protest group.

Once the protesters reached their agreed destination and handed over whatever they may have wanted to hand over to whomsoever, then that was the end of the march and everyone had to go home, peacefully, ... or else.

The way I see it, Trump doesn't have to get involved with this protest mob. He just has to give support to the legitimate police and security forces so that they can do their legitimate job of keeping the peace and upholding the law.

And those that want to unlawfully rattle or break down fences must find themselves charged and incarcerated .... the same goes for looters and arsonists .... if they go out looking for trouble then they must know, with absolute certainty, that they'll get it ....
