As long as Christianity can be mocked here, I can defend it here.

King David wrote in Psalms 14:1 The fool hath said in his heart there is no God.

When man creates a god for himself he patterns that god after himself. That god is fashioned to fit a need that the man has. It could be said that man creates a god in his own likeness.

The God of the Christian is nothing like his followers. The God of the Christian is perfect in His Holiness, perfect in His Justice and perfect in His Mercy. His followers on the other hand must come to Him first as imperfect sinners without hope in themselves. It is only in that way that they receive God's forgiveness and the application of the payment for sin, which God made Himself in Jesus Christ. So God's Holiness is shown in the perfection of Jesus Christ. God's justice is satisfied in that Jesus Christ paid for our sins. His mercy is satisfied in that God through Jesus Christ paid for our sins, Himself.

That is why Jesus Christ is called our Savior. He died and saved us from the guilt and debt of our sins. Our sins were imputed to Him and His righteousness is imputed to us. We no more deserve His righteousness than He deserved our sins. We receive this grace when we accept Him as our Savior.

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Ephesians these words.

Ephesians 2:7-9
7 That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

The Apostle Paul wrote to the Church at Corinth these words.

2 Corinthians 5:18-20
18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;

19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

"I would be glad to talk with anyone Private Message that might have a question about Christianity and being Christian."
