Sounds like a great short-term opportunity for shareholders to get out.

For discussion, here's a business proposition:

(1) I hire a small band of theves to steal your gold.
(2) I launch a public company in the precious metal business
(3) I hire an army of lawyers to delay and deny the legal-justice system
(4) I melt done the gold and stamp my name on it instead of yours
