MCO. Has had negative bv for 8 of past 10 years. Positive years bv not over $1.50. When I consider MCO, I envision cubicles of people pouring over indenture agreements/covenants/etc., and more cubicles in MCO's other business where people are on their computers doing "analytics". I mean what else is left about this company? Property, plant, and equipment there is, but the company's important assets are their people and the business processes they work in. So really, how relevant or significant to value analysis could it be to study this company's book value, adjusted book value, any tangible book, or how bv rises and falls with the acquisitions the company makes? Book value is of no relevance here.
