I thought the German response to Trump said it all: "Build better cars".

In 1980, I bought my first car, a Ford Mustang. Less than 1 year later, the wires spliced under my hood for no rhyme or reason and that was the quick end of my buying of American cars. It's been 37 years since and I have only bought Japanese and German cars and it's been a very good experience with few problems.

Honestly, the only problem I have ever had with Mercedes is replacing cheap bulbs that have seen their time of day.

I need a car I can count on. That's why I buy German or Japanese.
