My point in posting that list is that 100% recycling isn't possible.
Do you really recycle everything in Seattle? All the ink, the insecticides, shoe polish, nylon clothing and all the other -ons, the shingles on roofs, paint on the houses, lipstick, ammonia, asphalt, crayons, drinking cups, and more?
How about the plastic bags you put your garbage in? You ever recycle a tent or kayak, bicycle tire, boots, fishing rod, tennis ball, ..... ?
One 42-gallon barrel of oil creates 19.4 gallons of gasoline. The rest (over half) is used to make things like:Solvents
