"Your correct Boeing completes the triad. My bet is that Nextel, Nextlink, and Teledesic will all profit together, eventually using Teledesic as the backbone for the future communication sources for Nextel & Nextlink. You got to be an idiot not to see this coming!"

I guess that makes me an idiot because I heard Dan Akerson say at the annual meeting that Teledisic was a satellite system for fixed wire phone systems only and that mobil phones were not part of Teledisic's scheme. Thus, it's not applicable to Nextel. A Teledisic representative in the audience agreed with Akerson's assessment. I'm not sure how or if Teledisic can tweak its future satellites to cover mobil too but for now NXTL is out of Teledisic's loop.
