Aside from those preaching civil war, I think most of us are concerned about grid disruptions, emp or solar flare that would cause possible long term power outages. Sounds as though you have a comfortable community in the event of a power issue. I'd just be sure to have many months of food available. For a few hundred $ I stashed away many hundreds of pounds of grains/flour along with flavor enhancement products such as spices, oils, bullion cubes/powder and the likes of soy sauce. I always wondered what a person on Survivor would pay for a packet of soy sauce after 2 weeks of eating white rice. Planning a big garden this year. Bought a 26 quart American Canner last year and 10 dozen jars. Froze a couple dozen soups and sauces for the winter months and really enjoy having the stuff around. Prepping for me just reminds me of growing up in central PA. SHootie
