Second, the idea of chemical reactions devising information coding systems is a problem no matter how much time passes.
You can't dismiss it.............many many chemical products are things that occurred serendipitously in the lab......
Remember that GE commercial where a beaker of liquid of some sort was forgotten on the work bench, it had a glass stirring rod in it...... the next day it was discovered that the liquid had solidified so the tech grabbed the stirring rod and began to pound the beaker on the work bench, the material was solid as a rock.....it became something like Plexiglas........I said at the ltime that the Plexiglas didn't impress me as much as that glass stirring rod that didn't break with the pounding.....

First off, the formation of life didn't take billions of years. We know life appeared on earth almost as soon as the crust and atmosphere were stable enough.
First live appeared on earth 3.8 billion years ago......
