That has been one of the major tragedies of the need for "QE" to rebuild the bank's balance sheets. People who "played the game right" their entire lives have been forced to use savings to live, instead of using the interest off their life savings.

These aren't "sheeple", these are hard working people who had the game changed on them after they little or no ability to adapt to the the "new rules". Most of these people don't see it a as a rules change, they feel (flat out) cheated. And I don't blame them one bit!
