Wooh! The Roche news is old news for PACB now. .........The market cap for ILMN is 23Billion whereas the market cap for PACB is but 412 million. I don't think ILMN is worried very much by competition from PACB. But, and this is a big BUT, .........PACB with its long reads is more 'accurate' with fewer missing reads and without the gaps. Listen to recent CC from PACB if you want to get a feel for where PACB is going. I'm a bit surprised that ILMN hasn't gone after PACB - if for no other reason than they then wouldn't even have to look over the shoulder. PACB is cheap now - but maybe not so in the future should PACB hit their targeted goals for this year.
