Obama was successful, at least during his term of office. If Trump is successful some libs will not be pleased because they will see it as a set back. What they say they fear (trigger happy nuke launches, rampant right wing hate, racism, etc) is probably not the real fear. Loss of government social programs and wide spread PC narratives could get crushed.
