Very unusual inauguration speech.

1. Bashed government as protecting itself at the expense of everyone else.

2. Essentially declared war against "radical Islamic terrorism, which we will eradicate from the face of the Earth."

3. Spoke against both political parties. "What truly matters is not which party controls our government, but whether our government is controlled by the people."

The campaign is over, he won, so why make that particular speech, unless he means it? On the other hand, we do not have a Swiss style participatory democracy, so we must elect agents to represent us, and therein exist the agency problem. Is Trump casting himself as the agent of the people against everyone else? Seems possible. I think this has echoes in history.

Stay tuned. Could be a wild ride...
