Yup the MSM has demonized Putin.
The first step should be to definitively debunk the 'Putin hacked the DNC/Podesta email' media/CIA myth. Expect Trump to do it in spectacular fashion and hang that albatross on the media.

Once Putin and Trump are able to get on the same page against ISIS they are toast.

Longer term LindyBill's 'shunning' is the best approach. A UN resolution against Sharia law as a human rights violation is long overdue - Trump may have to wait for his second term to go down that path.
