Buyout rumors will remain in the back of everyone's mind and can't hurt unless they're refuted. What I don't understand is how the earnings from companies with significant Asian exposure will escape this quarter unscathed. The difference in exchange rates alone should have some effect, not to mention budget scalebacks as a result of a downturn in the economies of those countries affected. Maybe someone here can enlighten me on these points.
