An expanding economy will open up new prospects as long as more people aren't being laid off as their jobs go overseas.

Uh, the Congressional Republicans are proposing and Trump seems to be going along with, trimming 20% of government employees. What do you think the economy is going to do with 300k suddenly unemployed? What does that do to the unemployment rate? Realize that government workers tend to have more skills and education that many workers. Who do you think they will be competing with for jobs?
