They key here is the word "most". If you had ever been in actual combat (and yes, I'm assuming that you haven't been and apologies if you have), you'd know that there are more than a few who do take pleasure in using lethal force, and for various reasons, especially if one had recently lost a good friend. Armchair judgments about people in real combat can be quite offensive to those who have been there in hell. Please be more careful about your comments.
Being pleased about taking an enemy out of commission that could have killed more of your friends is a survival act under most conditions. It's part of that unsane human game called war, whether anybody likes it or not, and it's been there since dirt.

I would question their mental health...


Rightfully so, it happens and that's partly what PTSD etc. is all about, in spite of those who blather on cruelly about PTSD being fake.
