My prediction was made in October 2007 [10 years goes past quickly these days] along with the peak sunspot number for the cycle just gone which I got right on the money. <<2020 is Mq's (and your article's) target for the start of significant COOLING. Are you saying that that target moved from 2012? >> I was going to make it 2018 which would be the start of the latest solar low, but wanted to write "2020 vision" so made it 2020.

So cooling could start only a year from now, I wouldn't expect it to be news until 2020.

Meanwhile the amusing "hottest year yet" silly article has attracted the criticism it deserved. As I read it I was thinking the same things the critics have written. It's surprising that the news media just carry on with their biased rubbish year after year and decade after decade but true believers in cults don't change until they die.

They would rather go down with their identity and group, stuck in their Stockholm Syndrome belongingness than go out into the existential solitude of self-determination.

It's fascinating and frightening to watch group-think identity. Trump Derangement Syndrome is an excellent example. I wonder how close we came to nuclear war in the last two months.
