Newbridge Networks, HP Team to Provide Open, Standards-Based Enterprise Network Management Solution
Agreement Allows Newbridge to Offer Best-of-Breed Solution for Network and Service Management
HERNDON, Virginia, Jan. 5 /CNW-PRN/ - Newbridge Networks Inc. today announced it has entered into an agreement with Hewlett-Packard Company [NYSE:HWP - news] to resell the HP OpenView Network Node Manager product for the UNIX and NT operating systems with the Newbridge(R) VIVID(TM) NetDirector(R) portfolio, building on the two companies' strength in network management. The HP OpenView Network Node Manager provides a central database repository for the VIVID NetDirector solution, as well as a wealth of sophisticated network management tools, and is easily integrated with third-party network management applications.
VIVID NetDirector is a comprehensive network and service management solution for the VIVID switched routing architecture. VIVID NetDirector provides network managers the tools to proactively and strategically manage their physical network as well as the applications and services that use the network. The result is increased network uptime, better network and application availability, and increased productivity.
