No Nancy, I was only sharing what The Holy Spirit led me to share from my studies, with the prayer that it might be used by Him to help others see HIS GRACE. As I understand scripture, I KNOW that Christians cannot use this freedom from the law thats called Grace just to do as they as they please. Far be it, that I would imply that message, as scripture plainly teaches the law-of-the -harvest. We recieve forgivness from the "Penalty of Sin" when we recieve Christ as savior. The PENALTY of sin is "eternal death." Here however, we may very well suffer the "CONSEQUENCES" of those sins committed before salvation as well as after. Many examples are given in scripture of just such happening. I believe that preachers too often never point this out, and many folks believe recieving Christ will make their lives smooth and rosey, not so, according to scripture. It may in fact make life here MUCH harder, because of persecution. I'm not Jewish, but I would have to believe the Christian life here would be MUCH harder for the Jewish Christian. I believe the Bible even points out that it would be that way, Jesus said it would be hard for all. I may have happened on the wrong thread for someone like me, not being Jewish. I would think that the Jewish Christian would have a much better understanding of many things, because of knowing all the customs and history. I'm sure I could learn a lot and recieve as much better understanding of what I already know. This Mixing Law with Grace is something I see going on around me here in the south in many well thought of, so called Christian Churchs. I realize from scripture study, Paul had to deal with this in his day. I was only addressing the subject and it was not directed to any past post on this thread. In fact I have not had time to read much on this thread, I plan to. When I ran accross this thread, it just gave me one more opportunity to SHARE CHRIST and HIS wonderful GRACE, that was my only objective. I sure hope I have not offended anyone, however, like Paul said " I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ; for it is the power of God unto Salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
