I agree Bruwin. Watching Trump take the bait and send out an angry press secretary, one who apparently got some facts wrong, was deeply discouraging.

As for crowd size, Trump and his people should have been assuming there would be a lower turnout. Obama's election was a historical event. It inspired well-wishers of all parties to go and watch the proceedings, i.e. be part of history. Washington D.C. itself is home to more Democrats than Republicans and has a huge black population. Attending the inauguration was just a busride away. It wasn't boycotted by 70 or so Republicans, and it wasn't a rainy day. Good grief!!

If Trump can't get his head around the fact that he will never get the PUBLIC admiration and adulation Obama got, we have a sad situation taking shape. What if Trump is simply too needy to handle the level of criticism and rejection that will surely dog him throughout his presidency? Many of his policies, if enacted and not hopelessly watered down, will take years to bear fruit. Can he be stoic through it all?

This doesn't even touch on the time that gets wasted looking for rebuttals and other ways to take on the media. I'm starting to worry quite a bit about his temperament. I hate to think I may have voted wrong twice in a row, lol.
