Malwarebytes Reinvented ...

On December 08, 2016 Malwarebytes released Malwarebytes 3.0 Premium (and Free) rolling in the company's one-time paid standalone Anti-Ransomware and Anti-Exploit products into the Premium version and upgraded users with a Lifetime Pro/Premium or annual Malwarebytes 2.x Premium license to 3.04 Premium (now 3.05 Premium) to it, making the bold claim that "with the launch of Malwarebytes 3.0, we are confident that you can finally replace your traditional antivirus, thanks to our innovative and layered approach to preventing malware infections using a healthy combination of proactive and signature-less technologies."

Having the confidence to replace a good trusted comprehensive Internet Security suite with Malwarebytes is something I'm not about to do, but the good news is that in a blog post Malwarebytes CEO Marcin Kleczynski advised that that Malwarebytes would "continue to support compatibility if you choose to use a third-party antivirus or other security software alongside Malwarebytes 3.0."

So far there is no apparent conflict between Norton Security Deluxe and Malwarebytes 3.05 Premium with both running real-time protection on my Win10 system. The scans are quite fast. I also run Malwarebytes 3.0 Free which has no realtime protection on demand in addition to Norton Security with realtime protection on two older less frequently used desktops.
