The absolutely meaningless wall.

I was just talking with a friend at lunch about the talk of raising the SS age. Isn't the upper limit already 70 years old? Raise it to what, 75? 80? In France, there was an outcry when they raised it from 60 to 62, not from those who would work another two years, but from the youth who wanted those bozos to retire so they could get those jobs.

With all the age discrimination in the US, very few can make a decent living past 60 even, unless you've played your cards really well with your career and your health has held out nicely. So you will have legions of elderly workers trying to be productive as drug store clerks on minimum wage with throbbing feet just praying to make it to retirement age before they die.
