When it comes to earnings and financial analysis of the Borland company, I would try to locate posting on this thread by David Miller. He had it right the last time (the best among us) and he seems to know the buisiness. I would like to emphasize, however, that with BORL it is not earnings that matter (most of the times, at least) but rather it is revenue growth. The company will be most likely taking charges against acquisition. Earnings may not look that good, but I expect sales to show significant improvement, and that is what counts at the present stage. Earnings for Visigenic will also be a factor, and that I have no intuition about. I understand that Borland needs this acquisition to fuel growth, going forward. I just trust Del's artistic turnaround manouvering for the success of this entreprise. BTW this stock is not down from twelve. It was consolidating a little above 10, and it is now about 25% below that. As far as I am concerned, it performed great, this year, being up more than 50% from its low. I agree with Paul that it will be heading back toward 10 soon and it will be above 10 if the market start realising that this acquisition is a done deal AND it is a positive step for Borland. Ghassan.
