I was pretty clueless about Medicare until I read the first half of this book (115 pages):

Now I understand all my options and know exactly what I will do once I turn 65 (for Medicare). As for SS, I am doing benefits at 66.

I recommend this book. Simple to understand and explains things clearly.

PS Just go on Amazon and put "Medicare Demystified" in the search and it will pop up.
