Senator Bill Cassidy (R-LA) was recently tasked by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) with leading the effort to replace Obamacare, but the plan fails to repeal Obamacare!!
The Cassidy plan would allow some states to opt out of Obamacare, but it would keep most of the law's taxes and spending in place – forcing Americans in every state to pay for it.
It's been called the "Obamacare Forever Act" because it would enshrine the federal role in our health care decisions forever.
Also, a study released by Chris Jacobs, an expert on health care policy, shows that Cassidy's plan would INCREASE taxpayer funding of abortion – making it even worse than Obamacare in this respect.
The plan is a complete betrayal and it's another reminder of why we were right to oppose him in his 2014 primary election.
We need you to do two things right now.
First, tell your representatives to oppose the Cassidy plan and insist on the full repeal of Obamacare.
Second, make a contribution to Senate Conservatives Action so we can hold Senator Cassidy accountable and put pressure on lawmakers to oppose this terrible plan.
We need to make sure voters in Louisiana know what their senator is doing and how it will impact their lives. We also need to get tens of thousands of Americans to speak out against this sellout.
Senator McConnell vowed to repeal Obamacare "root and branch" but now one of his allies is promoting something else.
We have the opportunity to truly fix our health care system and return control to patients and doctors. We can't afford to miss it.
