I strongly suggest that the thread focus on the future, not on the candidates of the past...unless there was a view or a concept that should be part of the future's focus. Rehashing why the Dems lost or how poorly the previous group of candidates ran their perspective races doesn't do a whole lot of good, IMO.

Energy and thought spent in hindsight is only worthy if you are trying to learn something new about the past or if you are documenting what happened. Otherwise, it's tantamount to spinning your wheels and not going anywhere.

For example, reducing government simply to keep money in the pockets of those who are already rich is an easy platform to break down. Few argue with the concepts of reducing regulation, when those regulations are either unnecessary or simply too cumbersome to be useful. Reducing regulation simply to reduce regulation is not a great idea, as those regulations are often put in place to prevent future problems.

It's those future and current problems, like regulations and red tape, that should be more of a topic for discussion, that is if progress is to be made on this thread.
