Also not so simple... There was never anything but attack from the other side.. That said I went to private Catholic HS (and it was great experience actually) .. my kids public (religion should be personal choice... free to be expressed but not institutionalized) but specialized .. Both had French immersion through grade 8, Chinese school in summer (My French is pretty good so I could help).. Daughter to an arts focus school.. as she is a a very talented painter etc.. and my son an elite athlete program... both had to maintain broad exposure to sciences (mandated by me) and other languages. I vetted all their schoolwork AND teachers ... *You cannot simply dump your kids in the system* and not advocate for them... That is how the system turns to shit.. Just like politics... Just like religion.. speaking of which ... kids went to Sunday School on weekend.. (extra burden but that is how it should be.. since religion/God must remain a personal choice)... *Even that* I vetted heavily (I am probably a heretic LOL) ... Raising kids and building a country/society is hard work... Daughter now self professed atheist ... her choice ... she is an adult now .. Also I am outspoken up her against teacher's unions which protect the crap teachers and prevent other teachers of conscience from speaking out... If Unions vetted their member's abilities fairly public would support them.. it is a question of value... like taxes.. if I see value I am happy to pay... if I see waste I Tweet like Mr. Trump...
