Because like Nagasaki it is done from a distance and you don't see the actual people as it is happening. Where interrogation is close up and personal. Trump's Deputy Minister of CIA is suggested to have been formerly connected to a CIA Black Site. He probably knows the ins and outs. If enhanced interrogation will provide information which cannot be obtained otherwise, and it will save innocent American men, Women and children from future harm or death. Go for it.
