LEAPS - Long-term Equity AnticiPation Securities(R). Instead of buying the stock buy these long term options that expire in year 2000 for much lesser price than the security itself. There are negatives as well. You have to pay a premium; if the company gets sold out at a price lesser than your strike price you lose your investment(?); if the company gets out of business before then, you lose your investment; if the price in 2000 is below your strike price, you lose your investment.
