The Best Complaints to Maura Healey’s Hate Crime Hot Line

By Steve Robinson January 30, 2017

Following Republican President Donald Trump’s November victory in the presidential election, Mass. Attorney General Maura Healey created a hate crime hotline that Commonwealth residents could use to report crimes against minorities.

Healey created the hotline to help victims of an alleged wave of Trump-inspired crimes.

But documents provided to the Howie Carr Show by the Attorney General’s Office in response to a public records request suggest that the hotline may not have gone as Healey planned.

Here are the best, unedited complaints filed on the hate crime hotline.

  1. Once the AG helped shed light on this situation, one woman realized a case of typical Massachusetts driving couldn’t possibly have been a hate crime.

2. Hey man, it sucks that the laundry machine ate your quarters. But it’s not exactly a hate crime.

3. Again, sorry about your pricey dental plan, but take it up with Barack Obama.

4. Naming a soccer team “Silent Majority” is a hate crime?

5. Bingo night gone wild!

6. Shocking?

7. No one wants to get flashed by a cab driver. But is this really a hate crime?

8. It’s a battle of the bumper stickers!

9. Blue Lives Matter, a hate crime?
