These different categories are not rigidly separate. A coaster’s children can become adapters; some menaces clean up their acts; some fanatics get disillusioned with the pursuit of religious utopia. It also goes the other way, however. Menaces can turn into fanatics, sometimes as a result of exposure to Islamism in prison. Even the children of adapters can embrace fanaticism.
Ayaan Hirsi Ali is very insightful. Islam could really use a serious reform - their ideas of "inevitable universality" and "universal applicability" need to be reviewed. They think theirs is the only religion that is universally fair and color- and race blind, and capable of uniting the entire human race into a single "ummah". What they think is their business - the problem is, they can be rather... let's say, insistent - in trying to impose those beliefs on others.
