For me, the ban was more than clumsy. I couldn't see what was likely to be accomplished, i.e. the end game. It was only a 90 day ban, and at the end it was going to be no easier to vet from countries like Yemen and Libya, maybe even Iraq and Syria, than it is now. How could his team not see the immediate disruptions and blowback that would occur from such a sudden ban? The lawsuits?

I also strongly dislike that Trump responded the Berkeley brownshirts by threatening to cut off funding to the college. It gave the media the perfect way to ignore the freedom of speech issues at play, the anarchy issues at play, and just focus on the Trump threat itself.

Apparently, there's a lack of people surrounding Trump who can control him. Or they aren't trying.

Right now I'm in the awkward position of still liking Trump's main agendas but starting to very much dislike Trump the person. It's very discouraging.
