Yes I know there are people that have a different philosophy than I do that are kind to animals and in fact are very decent people. But certain issues simply trump all other issues.
People always talk about the southern hospitality, but tell that to the African American; for 100 years the South refused to end segregation. Segregation was such a horrible thing that it simply trumps anything else that is wonderful those people did i.e. if they are racist.
Hitler himself was very kind animals, but he had no trouble killing 6 million Jews.
How do you explain the fact that the entire South refused to desegregate until the liberals and the African-Americans joined hands and forced them to do it in 1964? And they had to be forced to do it, they were not going quietly into the night.
What greater good did anyone in the South do to mitigate being a racist, or refusing to speak up? The people in the South tortured, yes tortured the African-American for all of history until they were forced to stop in 1964.
And even then, they decided to become Republicans so they could continue on with their racist behavior as much as possible. Of course they bit off their nose to spite their face because the Republicans rolled them.

There are people both red and blue who are kind to animals, keep their word, and wouldn't dream of cheating at cards. |
