Thanks.

The world human population does need to be contained. Martin Luther King is the only person I know of that has discussed it in any rational way.

I think the birth ratio could perhaps be brought down to below 1.0 by people living in larger social groups where only a few children are supported by a larger number of caring adults. Financial support for the child could be larger that way, and thus leading to an enhanced education and better role in life. Such a change could be entirely voluntary and maybe encouraged through education and government policy.

I think the idea is definite worth real research, as a number of natural selection type of mechanisms kick in.

I would be happy to respectfully suggest to my church (Catholic) that things need to change, and ensure the feedback gets to the pope himself. Yeah... why are there no female Catholic priests too?

It's only by studying and appreciating the mathematics of population growth and resource consumption can we really make the world a better place.

That's the kind of stuff I need to read about in the gutter press, and I am sure all the human population will take a deep interest once they become aware of the delicate situation we all live in.

I don't hold much hope for the alternative scenario of war with nuclear weapons, famines, and diseases as long term successful methods of human population control. Kill it off altogether maybe... but not control it.
