More fruit of the cherry tree. I don't think either is a good test. Indicative but not sufficient.

I agree with i-node to the extent that I am sensitive to loss of opportunity for kids just getting started, particularly disadvantaged kids who are pretty much worthless to an employer without cultural orientation on how to get and hold a job. No one is going to give them a chance if they can't come close to earning their keep. Which changes their entire life outlook. Sure, those jobs don't pay enough to support a mom with a family. But if her needs price out young people who don't need as much and who still have a chance to get on the right track...
