That would not have happened anywhere I have ever lived....... I did know a guy who got another guy to shoot his own dog rather than pay for euthanizing..... Who, in your area, puts animals injured by cars or trucks out of their misery....the driver of the car?? In a related vane, I have heard several stories of people who have dead deer on their properties that died there after being struck by a vehicle.......the town workers won't come onto you property to remove it and that is now common knowledge......solution? Property owners drag the carcass out onto the street and call the town who will now come and remove it. I have had two personal experiences of hitting deer and calling the police to come and euthanize them...
