<<..You need to review why BA selected the CAP line code...>>
<...Was the number of lines (over that 4 years) ever announced? I know
guesstimates were floated in the 300K range over the 4 years, but
has BA announced numbers yet?
And any insights (hal, anyone) on the possibility that DSC uses DMT
(through Aware or Efficient Systems) with BA? The DSC/Efficient
announcement came out first week in Dec. Wasn't that the same
week that Seamens took sick leave? Just curious how definite the BA
contract (however many lines) was to Westell (vs. to DSC)...>

Following up in this vein, I confirmed today that several RBOCs have recently been putting off and/or cancelling orders from DSL suppliers.
Time-based contracts (such as the BA "4 year" contract) in the industry are apparently known to mean close to nothing since no numbers are attached. Even contracts with numbers are susceptible to cancellation (the RBOCs call the shots in the contract specs), so anything could happen from here.

I hope everyone makes a lot of money in WSTL, but I would continue to be careful.

But if you DO want to gamble, buy SLOT (but do your OWN due diligence and don't invest what you can't afford to lose) - a company I AM involved in and am looking for at least a 50% gain from THESE levels in 6-12 months. FTR, I am averaged in in the high 40s. Quiet thread but some good background info: Subject 9932

(BTW, I would WELCOME intelligent cautionary information there, and would welcome even more if any fund managers would want to short me some shares here and lower)

And also keep an eye on biotech ARQL (quiet SI thread) going into the H&Q biotech conference next week.

Good luck all-

Steve
