Patrice S. Jobs has run Pixar and NeXT in a dual CEO role

Pixar's last SEC (p 21) filing refers to a "office of the president":
DIVIDED RESPONSIBILITIES OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

" Pixar's Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, Steven P. Jobs, is also acting as interim Chief Executive Officer at Apple Computer, Inc. ("Apple") until such time as a new Chief Executive Officer is identified and named at Apple.

Although Mr. Jobs spends time at Pixar and is active in Pixar's management, he does not devote his full time and resources to Pixar. For day to day operations, since 1995, Pixar has established an Office of the President..."

Nothing about a AAPL CEO by the "end of year" . Gates looming over Jobs on the Boston MacWorld TV screen has to be bothersome :

The Austin paper gives AAPL credit for $500 mln a month from "on-line" sales - one can only wish ?

It seems INTC , SUN and HP have made defensive moves recently and hopefully something at Jobs' MacWorld is bothering these guys .

AAPL's 2/3/98 annual meeting may be the next date for a CEO and the stock could continue to rise in expectation "if" there is a "positive" MacWorld .

Humor your broker,
Jim K.
