i don't know why i'm posting this here, but a quick detour from the flynn situation
i was almost killed today
near head on collision from a guy driving a street cleaner vehicle going the wrong way in a merge lane where i headed..... looked ahead at the very last second (looking left since i was merging left, duh) and there this huge machine right in front of me.....iceberg straight ahead! i was 'lucky' in that i had a sliver of space to swerve away and manage to get onto the highway
when i arrived, my hairdresser chatted me up and said 'you seem a bit rattled, are you ok?'
and i told her about what happened....she said, 'omigod, i would have pulled over just to pull myself together'....and i said, nope, i am one of those types of people if you have an appt.or some other commitment, just plow ahead....but when i arrived, i had a chance to process the situation and realized that even a second too late, i would be a very sorry stain on the highway...
anyway, i did contact the local police dept. and told them about the situation and the lieutenant i spoke with dealt with the company involved and got back to me forthwith....
i feel elated just to be here....near death experiences have that effect, not that i recommend it!
