I used to hire professional drivers and I never worried about how smart they were but I did worry a lot about their attitudes. The guy who nearly killed our friend had a bad attitude- the rules didn't apply to him - it's illegal to drive the wrong way on a one way roadway. And even if it might be legal under circumstances like doing road work, it's still illegal if it's not safe to do so.
