In other words, the hack has already been executed. IF it was Russia, then they already had all the emails in their possession. Trump's hope, joking or not, was that if Russia found the missing emails within the trove they had hypothetically already hacked, that they would make them public. That is a far cry from the NYT's lie. The NYT intentionally misconstrues Trump's statement because they know they can sell it. I'm sick of it.
