Couldn't agree more with everything you said. I am Cuban, but because my skin is white, I am told I have white privilege. I think all the victims need to just get the big chip off their shoulder, stop looking for handouts, suck it up like the rest of us, and work. Work, work, work, until you don't have time to think about all the faux insults and injuries you feel others have dealt you. Work and work again, until the only thing you have time to think about is when am I going to get to take a piss or grab lunch. Work and work some more until 40 years has gone by and you realize you saved enough to retire and you don't need the government to give you anything, because everything you have, you built yourself. On that day, you can stick up both middle fingers to all those people you think insulted you your whole life, because you don't need them, never needed them, because you are independent and can make your own way in the world.
If all those so-called victimized identity politics, leftwing nut jobs just worked, then they would have what all us "privileged" people have. No one gave me anything. I started with less than nothing and now I have enough. Cuban and I still was able to retire and I didn't act like a victim, not one second my entire life. I guess that is what makes me a deplorable. I don't need the left feeling sorry for me or standing up for me. |
