Trump just ripped the press. The public agrees
8 Don Surber by Don Surber

President Trump held a press conference today and Trumped the Press. He very politely, very firmly, and very accurately pointed out how unfair and hence unpopular the press.

Once again, Donald Trump talked for millions of good, patriotic Americans of all races, religions, and national origins.

Neil Newhouse @KCkid
Just finished an evening of focus groups in Midwest city. Literally no one surprised by Trump's actions. Doing what he said he'd do. t.co

Trump said: "Many of our nation's reporters will not tell you the truth. [SNIP] Media speaks for the special interests. [SNIP] The press honestly is out of control. The level of dishonesty is out of control."

It is.

A new poll shows President Trump has 55% job approval among likely voters.

That shows he has won people over, as he received votes from only 46% of all voters in November.

He has done this despite a media that the public overwhelmingly believes is biased against President Trump. In fact, two years of so many Fake News organizations openly campaigning against him have inoculated him from press criticism.

Great job, idiots.

The Rasmussen Poll has his job approval at 55%/45%.

From Rasmussen:
Nearly half (48%) also believe most reporters are biased against the president. Only 12% think they are biased for Trump, while 31% feel most reporters try to be fair and balanced. Needless to say, Republicans and Democrats strongly disagree in their assessments of the media.
Because readers, viewers, and listeners know there is bias they do not believe the media.

More from Rasmussen:
Among all voters, just 28% rate the media coverage of Trump as good or excellent. Forty-one percent (41%) consider the news coverage of the president-elect to be poor.
This bleeds over to media sources.

From Rasmussen:
The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 47% of Likely U.S. Voters believe America’s intelligence agencies have their own political agenda. Thirty-nine percent (39%) disagree and think they generally perform impartially. Fifteen percent (15%) are undecided.
In summary, instead of holding the president in check, the media has beclowned itself because it has cried Hitler way too many times.

Blame the distrust on both the saccharine coverage of Obama and the toxic coverage of President Trump for the press making itself impotent.

The press looks like a pack of cat ladies with their hair afire rattling against CIA satellites reading their minds.

And every day, these cat ladies indignantly and defiantly mount their soap boxes to spew their new day's raging incoherences, as if anyone is listening besides the ever-decreasing number of diehard Democrats.

Sadly, this hurts the good reporters -- and there are some -- who try to do the right thing.
