Maybe you should.

There is a known phenomenon where there is sometimes a glitch in the brain. When that happens, the person experiences a golden shower of light. They experience a sense of revelation and delight. They see that they are just a small part of an interconnected whole that is the universe. And they have a feeling that they are unconditionally accepted and loved...

You touch the face of God.

The feeling soon fades and, as time goes on, so does the experience.

It is common enough that there is a name for it, which escapes my mind at the moment. AFAIK, no one has an idea of what causes it. It has been described many times in history by certain religious figures and it seems to be a similar experience, regardless of their religion. It has been suggested that sometimes hallucinogenics can trigger this mechanism.

Having experienced it once, I can easily see where, if someone is even slightly religiously inclined, that could stoke your religious inclinations.
