I think maybe we weren't talking about the same Hillary... I was talking about her actual fight from ~22 years ago? Not the presumed fight she would have had this time. I agree if you are talking about what she was pushing for NOW... but I thought she was still talking about single payer...? When she was involved in it in the 90s, it lead directly to the Republicans huge gains in '94. Pretty clear people wanted what came soon enough -- flat-lining life expectancy in the face of explosive growth in the cost of the mediocre health care we actually have. I thought Hillary said single payer was on the table in her Dem convention speech. Maybe I missed something that happened after... I still believe she could have bleated for a thousand years at who we have in the House and Senate and get no where -- Single payer is dead to them thanks to millions in donations from the health access prevention companies.
