She probably knew the polls were fake, but she also probably was delirious in her wishful thinking, so in her denial of the truth (the truth is alien to her) she actually believed she would win... it's worse than simple wishful thinking, it's called magical thinking... an adult could engage in wishful thinking in order to deny the truth, but magical thinking is something more... a small child engages in magical thinking when they play with their toys, but she's not a child, she's an adult... so this is how immature and demented she really is, she's emotionally regressive to a 5 year old... her whole life is a demented and twisted lie...
