The case of Vladimir Kara-Murza, a prominent journalist and longtime opposition leader in Russia, made headlines around the world and received bipartisan condemnation by the U.S. Congress, when he was rushed to hospital earlier this month, the apparent victim of poisoning - the second time since becoming politically active in Valdimir Putin's Russia. Kara-Murza has left Russia to receive treatment for the poisoning.
