I didn't think Hillary was sincere back then either. She allowed the Republicans to edit and reform her single payer universal healthcare plan to the point where in short order it didn't exist anymore. It was all a game of pretense to get the Left excited, then disappointed. In 2016, I heard Hillary say that single payer universal healthcare couldn't exist in this country because there was too much opposition to it. Her attitude is a big part of that opposition. Honestly, I never knew what Hillary Clinton stood for. At times, she came across as Left wing; other times she came across as a totalitarian fascist right wing pig. She was the quintessential politician who tried to be all things to all people. And the ends justified the means for her.
